Based in Woodbridge, New Jersey, Doug Twyman is a seasoned commercial real estate advisor with over four decades of experience crafting and implementing
successful strategies for property owners and occupiers. Doug customizes his approach to meet each client’s unique needs, leveraging deep expertise across office, flex, industrial, land, retail and specialized property types. His strong communication, analytical, and negotiation skills consistently deliver superior results and service.
Doug’s extensive career in real estate is marked by a long list of notable achievements. He was recognized as one of NJBIZ’s “Top 40 Under 40” business leaders and has held prominent leadership roles within the New Jersey Chapter of SIOR, including Chairman of the Admissions and New Membership Committees, as well as serving as a past president. Doug remains actively involved in several professional organizations, including SIOR, IOREBA, CREDA (formerly NAIOP), the New Jersey Technology Council, the Economic Development Association of New Jersey, and the Christian Brothers Academy Alumni Association. Doug is also a Founding Member of the CNJCRE Professional Networking Group, since 1998.
Doug joined Colliers in 1984 and has built enduring relationships with clients by serving as a trusted advisor. Over the course of his career, he has completed more than 1,500 transactions, totaling over 9 million square feet and exceeding $1 billion in aggregate value. Doug’s client portfolio includes prominent organizations such as CentraState Healthcare, Oracle, 3Com, Nokia, AT&T, Johnson & Johnson, JP Morgan Chase, General Motors Worldwide Real Estate, Momentum Solar, New Jersey Natural Gas, Aramark, SystemOne, and Lightriver Software, among others.
Doug earned a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the University of New Hampshire and continues to expand his expertise through ongoing real estate and business education.
In his free time, Doug is an active member and supporter of the Jersey Shore Running Club and Shore Athletic Club and is a passionate marathon runner. Doug serves on race committees for Eden Autism 5K, Shore AC Big Bang Mile, and the Sea Girt 5K, and is a Certified Track and Field Official for the NJSIAA and USATF. His other interests include golfing, traveling, hiking and stand-up paddleboarding.
